There are moments in life that beautifully come full circle. For Jamian Md Shojibul Islam Khan, Secondary School Certificate (SSC) 2004 Batch of Shahjalal Jamia Islamia School & College, February 2026 became one of those unforgettable moments.
More than two decades after leaving the beloved grounds of Jamia as a student, Shojibul returned to the very same campus – this time standing proudly as an English Teacher before hundreds of students. What was once the playground and assembly ground of his childhood has now become the place where he helps shape the next generation of Jamians.
Sharing his emotions, he reflected:
“One day I stood in this field as a student during assembly. Today I stand here as a teacher. It is a deeply emotional moment. Alhamdulillah.”
Md Shojibul Islam Khan has built an inspiring academic and professional journey. He successfully completed the Cambridge Assessment International Education online introductory course for Cambridge International AS & A Level English Language (9093), strengthening his expertise in international English education.
He further pursued higher studies locally and internationally, including:
BA in English – Sylhet Metropolitan University, Bangladesh
MA in Applied Linguistics – Newcastle University, United Kingdom
MA in English – Friedrich Schiller University, Germany
Cambridge CELTA – International House, Bangkok, Thailand
Today, he is recognised as a Cambridge and British Council trained English language teacher and trainer.
Beyond classroom teaching, Shojibul has also established his own educational initiative, English Masterclass, through which he teaches Academic English, IELTS, Spoken English, General English (CEFR A1-C2), O Level English, and professional English communication. His institution also supports students with overseas education guidance and career development opportunities.
Through his Facebook and YouTube educational platforms, he regularly provides English lessons and educational content, helping students both in Bangladesh and abroad improve their language skills.
His return to Jamia as a teacher is not only a personal achievement, but also a powerful example of how Jamia students continue to contribute back to the institution that shaped them.

শিক্ষার্থী থেকে শিক্ষক: জামেয়ান মোঃ সজিবুল ইসলাম খানের গর্বিত প্রত্যাবর্তন
জীবনের কিছু মুহূর্ত যেন এক সুন্দর পূর্ণতার গল্প হয়ে ফিরে আসে। শাহজালাল জামেয়া ইসলামিয়া স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজের এসএসসি ২০০৪ ব্যাচের প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থী মোঃ সজিবুল ইসলাম খান এর জীবনে ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ ঠিক তেমনই এক আবেগঘন ও গর্বের মুহূর্ত হয়ে আসে।
দীর্ঘ বছর আগে যে ক্যাম্পাস থেকে তিনি একজন শিক্ষার্থী হিসেবে বিদায় নিয়েছিলেন, সেই প্রিয় জামেয়ার মাটিতেই তিনি আবার ফিরে এসেছেন – এবার একজন ইংরেজি শিক্ষক হিসেবে। যে মাঠে একসময় তিনি অ্যাসেম্বলিতে দাঁড়াতেন, আজ সেই একই মাঠে দাঁড়িয়ে নতুন প্রজন্মের জামিয়ানদের শিক্ষা দিচ্ছেন।
নিজের অনুভূতি প্রকাশ করতে গিয়ে তিনি বলেন:
“কোন একদিন এই ফিল্ডে স্টুডেন্ট হিসেবে পিটি করেছিলাম। আজ টিচার হিসেবে এখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছি। এটা অনেক আবেগের। আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।”
মোঃ সজিবুল ইসলাম খান তাঁর একাডেমিক ও পেশাগত জীবনে এক অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ী পথচলা গড়ে তুলেছেন। তিনি Cambridge Assessment International Education পরিচালিত Cambridge International AS & A Level English Language (9093) কোর্স সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করেন, যা আন্তর্জাতিক মানের ইংরেজি শিক্ষাদানে তাঁর দক্ষতাকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করে।

শুধু শিক্ষকতাই নয়, তিনি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছেন নিজের শিক্ষা উদ্যোগ English Masterclass, যেখানে Academic English, IELTS, Spoken English, CEFR ভিত্তিক General English, O Level English এবং Professional English Communication শেখানো হয়। পাশাপাশি বিদেশে উচ্চশিক্ষা ও ক্যারিয়ার গঠনের দিকনির্দেশনাও প্রদান করা হয়।
এছাড়াও তাঁর নিজস্ব Facebook ও YouTube প্ল্যাটফর্ম রয়েছে, যেখানে তিনি নিয়মিত ইংরেজি ভাষা শিক্ষা ও বিভিন্ন শিক্ষামূলক ক্লাস পরিচালনা করেন। তাঁর এই উদ্যোগ বাংলাদেশের শিক্ষার্থীদের পাশাপাশি বিদেশগামী শিক্ষার্থীদেরও উপকৃত করছে।
একজন শিক্ষার্থী হিসেবে জামেয়া থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে আবার সেই জামেয়াতেই শিক্ষক হিসেবে ফিরে আসা নিঃসন্দেহে অত্যন্ত গর্বের ও অনুপ্রেরণামূলক একটি অধ্যায়।
