Chef Salim Ahmed, distinguished alumnus of the Jamia 2005 Batch, Executive Chef Nexus Cafe Palace, Dhaka and Vice President of the Chefs’ Federation of Bangladesh (Sylhet Division), has received the “Best Culinary Artist of the Day” award at the Chef’s Tasting Event. The honour was presented by At the Table during the grand celebration of International Chef’s Day 2025.
The Chef’s Federation of Bangladesh (CFB) organised the national celebration bringing together chefs, hospitality leaders, students, restaurateurs and food entrepreneurs from across the country. The programme marked one of the largest gatherings of culinary professionals in Bangladesh.
More than a thousand participants attended, emphasising the growing role of chefs in strengthening the national economy, promoting safe food practices, advancing sustainability, and inspiring the next generation of culinary talent.
Distinguished guests included high-level government officials, hospitality experts and renowned culinary icons. Among the notable speakers were:

The event included inspirational speeches, demonstrations, recognitions, award presentations and networking sessions. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony symbolising unity and the shared commitment of culinary professionals across the nation.
