Shahjalal Jamia SSC 2004 Batch Reunion in Sylhet – A Celebration of Brotherhood After 21 Years

The strength of the Jamia bond was beautifully reflected on 9 April 2025, as members of the SSC 2004 Batch of Shahjalal Jamia Islamia School and College gathered in Sylhet for a memorable reunion. Many friends travelled from abroad and from different districts across Bangladesh to be part of this special evening, demonstrating once again how deeply the Jamia identity connects hearts, regardless of time or distance.

For those who completed their SSC together twenty-one years ago, the reunion was a heartfelt return to shared memories, lifelong friendships and the values that shaped their student years. One friend mentioned meeting Shawon after sixteen years, a moment filled with both surprise and joy. Childhood friends who once sat side by side in classrooms now found themselves being addressed as “uncle”, a humorous reminder of how gracefully time has passed.

What made the evening remarkable was not only the gathering itself, but the spirit within it. The conversations, the laughter, the gentle teasing, the respectful gestures and the quiet gratitude all reflected the essence of being a Jamian:

Friendship that matures, but never fades
Brotherhood built on kindness, loyalty and shared values
Respect that flows naturally between Jamians, regardless of age or distance
A sense of belonging that time strengthens rather than weakens

The reunion became a reminder that memories may settle into frames, but the bond among Jamians lives on with warmth and sincerity. The evening concluded with heartfelt prayers for guidance, wellbeing and long life for all friends in the 2004 Batch.

May the friendships formed at Jamia continue to grow in affection, respect and unity for many years to come.
