This year’s event features an exceptional line-up, with Jamian Dr Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL), scheduled to speak at the highly anticipated SketchTalk: Ignite Your Future 2025 session.

A Global Leader Shaping the Future of Wireless Technology

Dr Rahman is internationally recognised as a leading figure in next-generation wireless communication. With more than 300 United States patents and decades of experience at Ericsson, he has made significant contributions to the evolution of 5G and 6G technologies and the global standardisation of wireless systems.

In Bangladesh, he is driving a number of groundbreaking initiatives, including:

The nationwide deployment of satellite internet,
Enabling Starlink connectivity in remote and underserved areas,
Digital transformation of the maritime sector through satellite-based systems,
Satellite research, innovation, and capacity building under BSCL.

Beyond his scientific work, Dr Rahman is actively involved in humanitarian initiatives through Muslim Aid Sweden and regularly inspires young people through global technology and innovation talks.

Seminar: Cybersecurity and Bangladesh’s Digital Future
This year’s national seminar, presented by SheStEM and supported by City Bank, focuses on “Cybersecurity and Bangladesh’s Digital Future.” The programme will explore the nation’s preparedness for an increasingly digital era, emphasising cyber resilience, policy frameworks, public awareness, and the technological opportunities ahead.

Representatives from academia, government, and industry will discuss how Bangladesh can strengthen its digital infrastructure to support safe and equitable progress.

SketchTalk: Ignite Your Future 2025
As part of the SketchTalk segment, Dr Rahman will share insights from his global journey in wireless research and technological leadership. His session aims to motivate students and young professionals by demonstrating how vision, scientific discipline, and collaborative innovation can influence national and international development.

Dr Rahman is expected to highlight how long-term research, curiosity, and leadership can open doors for Bangladesh in satellite technology, space science, and advanced connectivity.
