24 June 2025: After sixteen long years, Jamians in Michigan experienced a truly memorable moment – welcoming and reconnecting with our beloved former Principal, Professor Abdul Hannan Jonab. His visit rekindled countless cherished memories from our formative years at Shahjalal Jamia Islamia School and College, reminding us once again why he is regarded as one of the most inspirational and visionary leaders in Jamia’s history.

During this heartfelt reunion, several ex-Jamian brothers gathered alongside Main Uddin Jonab to spend quality time with him. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, respect and nostalgia, as stories from the past blended beautifully with reflections on Jamia’s progress and its global Alumni presence.

Professor Hannan Jonab also honoured two respected institutions in Michigan with his presence – Al Quran Academy of Michigan and Iqra Academy – where he attended their Cultural Competition as a distinguished guest. His interaction with the young students and community members reflected the same passion for education, values and character-building that made him such a beloved Principal back home.

This reunion not only strengthened the bond between generations of Jamians abroad but also reaffirmed the lasting impact of great teachers whose guidance continues to shape lives long after graduation.
