Alumnus Dr Muhammad Imadur Rahman Honoured as Ericsson Key Contributor 2021

We proudly celebrate a remarkable achievement by Dr Muhammad Imadur Rahman, distinguished Jamia Alumnus (Batch 1992), global wireless communications leader.

Dr Imadur Rahman received one of the company’s most prestigious recognitions – selection as a Key Contributor in 2021, an honour reserved for only a small group of employees who make an exceptional impact on Ericsson’s global success.

Dr Rahman shared the moment with the words:
“My CEO remembered me today 🙂 I have been selected as one of the Key Contributors for Ericsson in 2021. Alhamdulillah!”

This recognition came directly from Börje Ekholm, President & CEO of Ericsson, who personally acknowledged Dr Rahman’s contribution through an official letter. The CEO’s message highlights the scale of this achievement:

“Our Key Contributors are a select group of colleagues who have been identified as making a significant difference to the future success of Ericsson.”
“You’re receiving this award for doing an excellent job, for your potential to drive our strategic priorities, for being a true source of inspiration to others and because you always drive ethical and responsible business practices.”
“What you do and how you do it, makes a real difference!”

This accolade reflects Dr Rahman’s extraordinary contributions in shaping global wireless technologies – from pre-4G to 5G – with more than 400 patent applications, 150+ granted patents, hundreds of international research contributions, and leadership across multiple innovation frontiers.

It also symbolises the global calibre of Jamia’s alumni and their ability to lead, inspire, and innovate on the world stage.

On behalf of the Jamia Alumni Network, heartfelt congratulations to Dr Muhammad Imadur Rahman for this outstanding professional milestone. His dedication, ethics, and global impact continue to inspire generations of Jamians worldwide.
